There is no actual fighting during this time of learning the basics. This allows you as a student to focus on the techniques and learn them with much more composure - much more than just fighting. Practising Jiu Jitsu makes you stronger in sports and in life. It improves reflexes, strengthens the cardiovascular system and trains breathing, reduces stress and improves overall well-being.
